– Caserta and its famous Royal Palace
Caserta is a city near Naples where you can go by train. The journey is very short: in fact, it takes about 40 minutes. Near the station of the city there is the famous Royal Palace of Caserta, a Bourbon residence that is the largest royal palace in the world. It was designed by the architects Luigi and Carlo Vanvitelli. It was inspired by the palace of Versailles and it is considered one of the most important examples of baroque and neoclassical architecture. In addition to the rooms of the Royal Palace there is also the large garden with the famous Vanvitelli aqueduct and the San Leucio complex.
– Cities of Irpinia
Irpinia is an area of Campania region that includes several cities near Naples. Many towns can be reached from Avellino, a city where you can go from Naples by taking a bus.
