Exhibitions and Concerts to Know About if You Are Visiting Naples in April

If you are visiting Naples in April you can take long walks and, sometimes, go straight to the cultural activities that this wonderful city offers.

Visiting Naples in April with all the family or with a group of people of different ages is the perfect occasion to join a special activity called “The Rooms of the Imagination”, hosted in the rooms of San Domenico Maggiore Complex, near one of the most beautiful churches of the city. It is a series of free workshops that aim to explore creativity. Join these workshops you can see children of all ages discovering the world of the arts. If you are curious to see what happens during these meetings, the next appointments are on Saturday 7, Thursday 12, Friday 13, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 and they usually take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

An exhibition for all the family that is truly unmissable exhibition is dedicated to the Spanish painter Salvador Dalì, in the rooms of the Palace of Arts of Naples (also known simply as PAN) in via dei Mille 60. It is a retrospective of the painter’s works and his complex personality. Admission is free for children under 6 and there are tickets at a reduced price for people that are under 26 and for groups of more than 12 people.

For those who love classical music and visit Naples in April there are two special dates to mark on the diary. On April 12, at the Teatro Sannazzaro will take place, at 8.30 p.m., the concert of the Indaco 4et. They will perform Quartet in G minor op. 10 by Claude Debussy and the quartet in F major op. 96 “American” by Antonin Dvorak.

On the evening of Thursday 19 April, from 8.30 p.m. at the Teatro Sannazzaro there will be a concert by Massimo Quarta, violinist, and Stefania Redaelli, pianist. They will perform music by Maurice Ravel, Béla Bartòk and Francis Poulenc.

At the San Carlo Theatre of Naples in April you can see the recital of Michael Barenboim, on April 7th, listening to music by Tartini, Sciarrino, Berio and Paganini.

On April 21st, there will be a sensory show thought for children from 0 to 3 years, “Carmen”. This is an innovative baby opera formula designed specifically for children.
