From this Summer 2021, it is possible to come back to the Teatro San Carlo di Napoli.
The Real Teatro di San Carlo in Naples is ready to open its doors to welcome locals once again and travelers from all over the world.
After facing the hard times of closure of the last year, the San Carlo Theatre is back to offer guided tours designed for all types of visitors. In addition to the classical route, the theatre is the perfect place to introduce children to the art of bel canto. Here are the events to take part in from June 2021.
How to visit the San Carlo Theatre
To visit the San Carlo Theatre in Naples you have two options:
- attend a show or a concert. For more information please visit the theatre’s website www.teatrosancarlo.it
- takes part in guided tours of the San Carlo Theatre. The ticket price is €6. Once at the San Carlo, you can visit the archives curated by Memus on the ground floor of the Royal Palace of Naples. There, you will find drawings, photographs, costumes, videos, and recordings. Visits will be held in full compliance with all safety standards and in accordance with current anti-Covid regulations.
Guided tours, Summer 2021
It is possible to join guided tours of the theatre on Thursdays and at weekends.
On Thursdays, the tours are from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, visits take place from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm.
The tours are conducted in Italian, English, and French and include a visit to the San Carlo Theatre (the Historic Hall, the Royal Box, the Foyer) and the MeMUS Museum, where visitors will find historical curiosities, memorabilia, stage costumes, and the temporary exhibition designed for children but open to all ages.
